Through our diversity and inclusion strategy, we have made a commitment to increase the diversity of our charity and we welcome candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. We want our employees, volunteers and trustees to represent the broad diversity of the communities of which we are a part.

Versus Arthritis is committed to keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe from harm. During the recruitment process Versus Arthritis will undertake safer recruitment practices and relevant checks to help make sure applicants are suitable to work with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

The Policy, Public Affairs and Engagement team is focused on creating lasting change for people with arthritis. We identify the policy changes that are needed, and influence decision-makers with public affairs tactics and by campaigning alongside people with arthritis. This role will lead our campaigns targeted at Governments across the UK to make real policy change happen. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside, and enable, people with arthritis to campaign and demand more.

About the role
This role will build strong partnerships with teams across the charity to maximise our shared knowledge and understanding to build captivating campaigns. The post-holder will lead the development of campaigns targeted at Governments across the UK focused on policy change. They will identify ways of building stronger links with warm campaign leads and drive the growth of our ‘Campaign Catalyst’ network of supporters.

Versus Arthritis is also exploring how it can further develop its flagship ‘Impossible to Ignore’ campaign. As part of this initiative, the successful candidate will input their expertise into how we develop (including identifying how to resource) and integrate this campaign across directorates.
