Partnership Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities

Facilitating regular co-learning sessions and partnership meetings. Establishing a more accessible, dynamic communication system. Identifying areas for collaborative approaches, such as multi-organisation bulk-purchasing. Connecting with VCS partners from underrepresented communities in the borough. Consolidating the integration of Hackney’s advice network with HFJA and signposting of cookery classes and Healthy Start and Alexandra Rose Vouchers. Supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of pilot projects. Building relationships with networks in neighbouring boroughs.

About you


Local to Hackney or a neighbouring borough. Appreciation for the role of food in bringing people together and strengthening community connections. A strong passion for food justice. An interest in alternative sustainable food system models, such as food coops, community shops and urban growing. Self-starter with leadership skills. Strong organisational, interpersonal, problem solving and written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable with administration and using basic technology. Personable, friendly and approachable, with a flexible and non-judgemental approach to people and work. Ability to produce and maintain records and reports. Ability to build and maintain a sustainable partnership engaging and supporting diverse community groups and organisations. Cultural sensitivity and awareness. Committed to challenging inequality, racism and injustice. A willingness and openness to learn, knowledge-share and self-educate.


Experience in organising alternative sustainable food system models, such as food coops, community shops and urban growing. Experience working in a food justice organisation. Experience and skills in community organising. Experience of working or organising in a sociocratic organisation. Enhanced DBS check (if you do not have one we will apply for one on your behalf)
