Senior Policy and Campaigns Adviser (financial health)

You'll influence national policy development and implementation to improve welfare and work services for people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families. You’ll deliver changes in policy that will improve the planning and delivery of welfare, work and transport services for people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families from diagnosis to end of life.

About you

● Thorough understanding of and proven experience of campaigning and influencing government, decision makers and public policy at every level, preferably in the welfare, work and disability sector.

● Experience of running successful national campaigns, organising events and managing coalitions.

● Experience of involving service users in setting priorities and developing campaigns.

● Research, analytical and information gathering skills and the ability to present it in a persuasive manner.

Senior Public Affairs Adviser

You’ll plan and implement the charity’s public affairs and parliamentary activities, developing effective relationships with decision-makers. You’ll also coordinate the involvement activities of people affected by Parkinson’s in developing organisational policy positions and meeting decision-makers.

About you

● Proven experience of lobbying, working in Parliament or in a public affairs environment at a senior level.

● Experience in political analysis and of working in a political environment with sound political judgement, sensitivity and an in-depth understanding of the relationships and key players in health and care, welfare, work, transport and the disability arena.

● Experience of involving service users in steering groups and public affairs activities.

● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and manage relationships with high-profile policy and decision-makers.

● Research, analytical and information gathering skills and the ability to present it in a persuasive manner.

● Ability to maintain political impartiality and be discreet.

● Ability to organise internal and external events and meetings and building working relationships

Interviews will be held on 06 July 2021.

The successful candidates will be required to

● provide their own broadband service with a minimum download speed of 2Mb
● have a confidential space in which to work

Senior Policy and Campaigns Adviser (financial health) interviews will be held on 30 June 2021.

Senior Public Affairs Adviser interviews will be held on 6 July 2021.
