African Child Trust (ACT) is a small but growing UK registered Christian charity established with a mission to relieve and alleviate poverty among widows, orphans and other vulnerable children in Africa. At ACT we are passionate about changing lives and giving opportunities to less privilege children, widows and women-led households in need. We want the children to reach their potential in life and the women to be able to sustain their families. ACT is currently working in 8 countries of Africa. Our office is in Croydon, but we are currently working remotely.

We are looking for an outgoing and self-motivated individual to join our team as an intern. The role is ideal for a graduate wanting to gain experience in international development and charity sector. You will possess excellent writing skills and be good at communicating. You will need to have good understanding of social media tools and practices. You should also be able to carry out some basic research and expect to write weekly blogs/articles. We will provide guidance on subject matter and theme.

Person specification:
Excellent writing, communication and organisational skills that can help raise awareness of our work
Enjoy writing articles / blogs
Inventive and skilful in the use of social media
Pro-active and have a positive attitude
Have a desire both to learn and to contribute to our work.
