Onward is looking for two exceptional candidates to join our six-month paid internship and contribute to our research, events and campaigning. The role will expose the successful candidates to all aspects of Onward’s work: you will contribute to our research programmes, help organise events with frontline politicians and world-leading experts, and support media and social media campaigns.

Our paid interns work closely with Onward’s research team to develop new ideas for the country’s greatest social and economic policy challenges. Successful candidates will typically be responsible for conducting data analysis, policy research and engaging experts as well as drafting reports. In the next six months, we will conduct high profile work on levelling up economic growth and opportunity, repairing the social fabric of communities, defending the Union and getting to net zero.

In addition, interns support Onward’s busy events and engagement programmes. This will typically involve organising events with leading ministers and policymakers, generating ideas for future events and supporting our wider political and digital engagement.

Requirements:

• Strong data analysis skills, with bonus points for R or Stata experience
• Excellent writing skills
• Experience in a relevant field

Commitment: Six months, Full-time, based remotely or in Westminster, depending on the pandemic
