Job Title: Policy and Communications Officer
Working For: CORE Coalition
Salary: £29,000 - £39,000, dependent on experience
We are seeking to appoint a full or part-time Policy and Communications Officer – a crucial role for our more than 50-strong coalition during a vital period for our work. This is a permanent role, and, dependent on experience, the appointment may be at senior officer level.
We are looking for someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about the issues we work on. You don’t need to be an expert on our issues, but if you’re not, you’ll need to have the ability to rapidly become one – so you should already have an understanding of political economy, sharp political analysis and experience of policy and/or communications work in the not-for-profit sector.
We need someone who is equally comfortable working on a policy submission to government, advocating to an MP, writing an incisive comment article for publication in the media, or strategising how our campaign can best achieve its aims. And it’s vital that you have a real commitment to helping make a change on corporate accountability.
This is a crucial, very busy, outward-facing role in a small organisation seeking to make big changes. This role is at the heart of our diverse network and our ongoing collaborative efforts to bring about fundamental changes in corporate accountability.
