Job Title: Researchers
Working For: Resolution Foundation
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 p.a., depending on experience
The Resolution Foundation is looking for two smart, proactive individuals to join our research team. The successful candidates will provide research support to senior staff covering a wide range of economic and social policy issues, and be given the opportunity to develop expertise in specific subject areas that range from the labour market to inequality, and wealth to intergenerational gaps.
The roles are analytically demanding and involve undertaking and writing up the findings of primary research, conducting secondary analysis of academic literature, drafting reports and presentations, and liaising with external stakeholders. Previous experience / knowledge of economic and / or policy analysis is useful but we are primarily looking for individuals with the capacity to interpret and communicate complex data and concepts with ease.
The Foundation prides itself on analytical rigour and we strive to achieve standards of excellence in all our work. This commitment is matched by dedication to our core purpose, working to improve the living standards of those on low-to-middle incomes. These twin pillars of rigour and purpose underpin everything we do. We are a fast-paced organisation, focused on responding to the current economic crisis as well as contributing to crucial longer-term public policy debates. The capability to work at pace on several different projects concurrently and a strong desire to progress within an academically-rigorous and policy engaged research team are essential.
We welcome applications from all under-represented communities and groups. As part of our commitment to increasing diversity within our own work force and the policy making sector, we are particularly keen to attract candidates from black, Asian and other minority ethnic backgrounds. To facilitate this, we invite interested black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates to attend a pre-application workshop with our team, to find out more in advance about the sector, the application process, and what it’s like to work for the Foundation as a Researcher. Workshops will be held on 10 December 2020. Please contact email@example.com to register your interest. We welcome applications from candidates from lower-income backgrounds, please contact Sharmina if you would like to speak to someone in confidence about your needs.
