Job Title: Universities Network Co-ordinator Intern +REMOVED

The Universities Network Co-ordinator internship is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their campaigning career. This full time, five day a week role is a training position, designed to offer someone their first paid campaign job.
The intern will be supported by a CAAT staff member through regular review and planning meetings, and offered support from an external mentor. At the end of the 12 month contract there is the possibility of transitioning to a temporary staff role, joining CAAT’s non-hierarchical team with flat pay structure.
The intern’s main responsibilities include:
• Supporting and inspiring grassroots student action and collaboration against the arms trade with a programme of training and outreach;
• Maintaining support for the Universities Network, including through email, social media, and media coverage;
• Co-ordinating and developing Universities Network campaigns, supporting campaign strategies and research, creating resources, and ensuring the network is inclusive.
If you're involved in grassroots campaigning and keen to make the step into a paid role, this is the job for you. The right candidate will have strong people and communication skills, and experience in being part of, or supporting, grass roots activism. You will be able to prioritise a varied workload, supporting individuals and groups throughout the UK with
training and resources, helping them take action and network with each other.
Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) is a UK-based organisation working to end the international arms trade. CAAT is a collectively managed non hierarchical organisation, committed to non violence. We are looking for someone who can take an inclusive and intersectional approach to organising, situating the arms trade in a broader understanding of anti militarist and social justice organising.
