Job Title: Interim Policy Advisor
Working For: Federation of Small Businesses
We’re looking for an interim Policy Advisor for 3-month contract to join our Westminster based policy team. This is a unique opportunity to join the UK’s leading small business campaigner known for its influential voice within Government.
In this role, you will support the work of the policy team, assisting with research and preparing evidence based responses to consultations. You will also be required to monitor and analyse developments in public policy, responding to policy issues, legislation, developments and enquiries. You will be required to collate data from internal surveys and other sources and present to colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate with an interest in business and politics.
We’re looking for applicants with previous experience of completing research based projects (academic and non-academic). The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of the political system and current affairs. They will also have a strong understanding of what policy is and how it can be used to influence. Applicants will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collate and reinterpret information.
