Job Title: Policy and Public Affairs Volunteer - REMOVED
Working For: St Mungo's
Charity Number: 1149085
Salary: Reasonable travel expenses and lunch will be reimbursed
St Mungo’s provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people in accommodation each night. As well as accommodation services, we also provide a range of services, such as running activities, skills and employment training, and tenancy support, to help people at every stage of their recovery from homelessness. At the heart of all of our services is our commitment to empowering individuals, to support people in their recovery journey and to prevent homelessness in the future.
We also influence positive change in government policy and legislation, and other relevant policy and practice, in order to prevent homelessness and end rough sleeping. We do this by campaigning nationally, producing policy reports and briefings, and by meeting with key political stakeholders.
As a Policy and Public Affairs Volunteer you will be assisting staff with a range of tasks in an office-based environment. The role is based on the needs of the team on a day to day, and an ongoing basis, but will include the following tasks:
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of events for political stakeholders.
- Political monitoring and research.
- Administrative duties, including updating databases and managing communications with MPs offices.
