Want cancer on the political agenda in Wales?
Cancer Campaigns Ambassadors persuade their MPs and AMs to support cancer research, prevention, early diagnosis and treatments. With only half of people with cancer in Wales being diagnosed early, we need your help to change this.
With more people than ever surviving their cancer, it’s crucial that the Welsh government trains and employs more NHS staff to diagnose cancer early. In October, we are launching a new campaign to ensure this happens and we need your help! By volunteering with us and talking to your local politicians, you can help us save more lives.
Stephen, one of our volunteers in North East Wales says “Being a CRUK Ambassador helps make sure those in politics use their position for a good purpose. Volunteering for the charity ensures that our priorities in Wales are never far from their minds”.
We’ll provide you with training, advice and materials and you’ll also be invited to our launch event on 11th October, where you can meet other ambassador volunteers in Wales and meet some of our fantastic NHS staff. The role is flexible and home-based, to fit around your current commitments.
