Job Title: Social Media and Office Assistant - Shadow Chancellor’s Office
Working For: The Labour Party
Salary: £25,914.34 (gross) per annum, with an annual fixed sum allowance of £390
Duration: Fixed term contract for the period only that John McDonnell is the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Social Media and Office Assistant in the Shadow Chancellor’s Office.
The post holder will help administer the Shadow Chancellor’s social media channels to promote the Labour Party’s message under the direction of the Head of Strategic Communications, the Chief of Staff. They will also provide general administrative support to the Shadow Chancellor’s team.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of using the most common social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram etc. to promote an organisation, experience of working with senior politicians within a political office and excellent administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills.
