Job Title: Fundraising and Communications Assistant (volunteer)

Working For: Renaissance Foundation

Location: London

Charity Number: 1128772

Salary: Expenses covered (fully flexible hours)

Job Details

This is a great volunteering opportunity for a person who is keen to gain first-hand experience of the fundraising sector for charities. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year, the charity aims to achieve an ambitious fundraising plan for 2018 - 2019 and is looking for committed people to come and help. It offers a relaxed yet dynamic environment, and volunteers have the opportunity to attend some of the visits and workshops organised for its beneficiaries. The role will focus on fundraising among trusts and foundations but it will also include helping on other areas such as organising events and helping to deliver our communications plan. The person will report directly to the Fundraising and Development officer.

We encourage people who possess outstanding and proven writing skills, work well autonomously, and have a demonstrable interest in the charitable sector (preferably the youth sector) to get in touch with us.

We are flexible and will accommodate to suit the candidate’s existing studies or other commitments. There are no set hours for this role.

About Renaissance Foundation
Renaissance Foundation inspires young people from Tower Hamlets living with significant challenges to fulfil their unique potential. We focus exclusively on three hard-to-reach groups: young carers; young hospital patients suffering from life-limiting conditions and transitioning from child care to adult care; and young pupils from deprived backgrounds (‘school pupils at risk’), typically aged between 13 and 17 and referred to us by well respected authorities. We use the power of inspiration, creative and digital learning and vocational development in our programmes. This helps our three communities develop key strengths to support high aspirations including resilience, confidence in public settings and positive engagement with society and the workplace.

W4MP Note:
The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish. If the post demands set hours and/or has a specific job description you may be deemed to be a ‘worker’ and be covered by National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage legislation.
