Apolitical is looking for a paid intern to help bring together some of the most brilliant people from around the world. We may offer a permanent position at the end of the internship.
Apolitical is a global platform for public servants, publishing articles about how to tackle the biggest social problems of our time and connecting the people who’re working on them. Our stories have reached tens of millions of people and been picked up or republished by places like the Guardian, Quartz, Fast Company, the Huffington Post and many others. They have also been translated into Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and Hebrew for syndication elsewhere.
We work with the UK Cabinet Office, the EU, the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and public servants in more than a hundred countries.
Every day, you will be helping to bring people together from governments all over the world. As a member of the growth team, you’ll be in one of the highest profile parts of the company and will report directly to Alex Starritt, the Media Director.
The growth team is fast-moving, experimental and at the forefront of what we’re doing. Working in it you will have to come up with new ideas, speak to people from all over the world and deliver results. You will also learn how government works, talk to impressive people and get a crash course in how to get things done in public life.
Overall, you will be part of an energetic, ambitious team that wants to build a company with tremendous reach – and use that power for good.
What we need from you is:
- The ability to write in a way that is clean and clear
- The ability to quickly understand and discuss complex projects and concepts
- A willingness to work hard, take responsibility and get things done right
We would also like it if:
- You already had some knowledge about government or the public sector, perhaps by studying PPE or doing a master’s in public policy. But this isn’t essential as long as you’re interested in them.
Start date: Immediate.
We may appoint before the close date.
Please send a CV and covering letter of no more than 1 page explaining your motivations and aspirations for applying to the role to email@example.com.
