The Best of Africa was created to provide commentary and analysis on African politics and development through a network of volunteers who are passionate about the continent. The hope is to provide a platform for open discussion while increasing people’s awareness and interest in Africa and the rest of the world.

Blog writer: We welcome regular contributors who are willing to contribute at least once a month and guest contributors who can provide one off contributions. Regular contributors will have their bio featured on the contributor’s section of the website while guest contributors will have their name featured. 

Blog editor: Edit and revise at least two blog posts a week in line with our guidelines. A level of rewriting is sometimes required. To be considered, kindly provide two writing samples and your CV.

The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish.
