Job Details

Based at the Temple of Peace in Cardiff and working throughout Wales, the Welsh Centre for International Affairs (WCIA) provides an independent, non-partisan forum for human rights, peace and justice, sustainability and international development.

The WCIA exists to enable the people of Wales to understand and act on global issues. Our blog – WCIA Voices https://wciavoices.wordpress.com/ – seeks to enact this vision by providing opportunity to those wishing to share articles on international issues that affect Wales. Recent posts include a historical piece on the Greenham Common peace protest and a contemporary interview with Hanif Bhamjee, founder of the Wales Anti-Apartheid Movement.

Contributions are particularly invited on the following topics:

  • Wales and the United Nations (including the Model United Nations)
  • Wales and the international peace movement
  • Wales and the City of Sanctuary movement
  • The young people of Wales’ Message of Peace and Goodwill
  • Historical and contemporary Welsh peacemakers

Articles should not exceed 1500 words and be accompanied by images where possible. We invite one-off contributions but also have capacity to run a series of articles. We welcome Welsh-language pieces.
