Job Title: Corporate Communications Intern

Hume Brophy is a leading government and strategic communications consultancy. Our 80-strong international team is drawn from media, advertising, in-house, agency, marketing, event management, professional services and industry association backgrounds, offering a blend of skills to meet all communications challenges. Our international presence includes operations in Brussels, Dublin, London, Frankfurt, Paris and Singapore and an established network of agency partnerships in New York, Hong Kong and across Europe.
Our UK Public and Corporate Affairs team is looking for an intern to support the day to day delivery of client work. This is an ideal entry-level position for a graduate who is interested in a career in corporate communications with an additional interest in politics. It offers opportunity for responsibility at a fast-growing firm.
Clients will include retail, financial services, transport, healthcare and other sector businesses.
Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organised and motivated, work well under pressure, and use their initiative. A strong interest in corporate reputation, building brands and ability to get involved in team discussions around complex business issues is also a key requirement. Main tasks are likely to include assisting in media relations for key clients, monitoring media coverage, writing briefings, organising meetings and providing administrative support.
The internship would initially last for a period of three months, after which there may be the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent contract.
