Salary: No salary, all expenses covered but volunteers need to raise a minimum of £800
We’re looking for passionate Team Leaders to join Raleigh International Citizen Service (ICS) in Nepal this June.
Support teams of UK and Nepali volunteers on a community-based sustainable development project.
It’s a government funded volunteering programme, so it won’t cost you a penny.
ICS is led by VSO and funded by the UK government. It’s a development programme that brings together young people from the UK and developing countries to volunteer in some of the poorest communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
What will you do?
Spend 3 months in Nepal
Live and work with people in rural communities and become immersed in the local culture
Help to improve people’s access to water and sanitation
Help to rebuild Nepal after the earthquake last year
Or support young people and women to set up small businesses and improve their livelihoods
Create lasting change
Use your leadership skills
Challenge yourself to change your world

The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish. If the post demands set hours and/or has a specific job description you may be deemed to be a ‘worker’ and be covered by National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage legislation.
